My cousins threw me the most wonderful bridal shower. I had friends, family, and future family show up to celebrate me and the wedding.
I enjoyed my bridal shower more than any birthday party I have ever had, especially since the presents that people gave me were 1) literally hand-picked by me and 2) mostly kitchen items, which are my most favorite.
I had a great group of ladies show up to spoil me on Saturday morning. Some of the the things I got off my registries were:
Hammered Metal Ice Bucket with Ice Scoop
Cast Iron Trivet
2.5L Porcelain Pitcher
Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven
Pineapple Cutting Board
Travel Bag for 8qt Instant Pot
Porcelain Spoon Rest
KitchenAid Classic Plus 4.5qt Stand Mixer
I was especially stoked about that last item. I have been dreaming of a KitchenAid mixer forever. Now I have one! Much thanks to my future sister-in-law.
Following my shower, I rushed off to my wedding hair trial. My stylist was super cool and we had a good time chatting. She was able to execute my vision well. The only issue I found later on was that my curls need to be tighter and hair sprayed much, much more.
Following my hair trial, I rushed off to my bridal portraits. It really was a BIG wedding day. I’d love to show you some pictures, but I’ll have to save those until after the wedding. My bridal portraits were taken at my venue. My husband and wife photographer team was great to work with as always. It was very hot, which it very well could be on the wedding day. My hair was starting to stick to me.
This weekend, there are two very special events. Friday night, there is a dinner party for the two volunteer teams Jonathan and I lead to get together and celebrate the engagement. Saturday, his family is having a gathering and shower.
Tomorrow, we will be only one month away!
